Practice Director Architecture

Practice Director is based on the client-server software architecture model. This architecture provides enhanced security, easier system and software maintenance, and more reliable backup solutions by centralizing all your critical clinical data.

The ‘client’ is a laptop or desktop workstation used by office employees for data entry. The ‘server’ is a dedicated computer system where the server application resides and all data is stored.

Practice Director’s Programming Language

Practice Director is developed in Java which is a powerful, versatile, and platform-portable programming language. Java has allowed Practice Director to become the most interoperable optometric practice management software on the market. It can support almost every modern operating system including: Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris, and many distributions of Linux.
