iPad & Practice Director

Practice Director Software for Windows & Mac OS X is functional with Apple’s iPad. Once familiar with the iPad’s touch screen and on-screen key board, the ease-of-use is impressive.
For those wanting to enjoy the benefits of utilizing Practice Director through a convenient, light weight, portable device in the office, at home or from wherever you have internet access, the iPad is a solid option.

That is pretty cool. I’ll be sure to test it out. I love all the Apple development. Keep them coming. How about a way to access remotely via iPhone?

Thanks for the kudos Simon. Greatly appreciated. Down the road we will develop a web based front end in order to access PD via your PD :). One of our developers, John Sheppard, has developed browser based access for our recall management module….just as a test/proof of concept. We will allocate resources toward this in 2011/2012….which is not to far down the road.

What areas are you able to use iPad for? I am not sure I fully understand what iPad is capable of doing with Practice Director

Bill- ipad can run PD just like your computer does (actually your iPad enslaves your computer via remote desktop). Your entire desktop can be on your iPad. Basically like using a wireless laptop all day for your exams, just not as heavy as that:)

We tried using the iPad in our office but we noticed that everytime we used it our server would go down.

I’m curious if handing a patient an i-pad in the reception area to fill out demographics and medical history/ review of symptoms would be an option.
