Transition Program

A critical value component of Practice Director is managing the transition from your current system to Practice Director. Whether it is from another software system or a completely paper based system, executing the transition correctly is imperative. At Practice Director, the moment you become a client your software consultant will help plan and navigate you through a successful and efficient transition.

There are seven steps to Practice Director’s transition program (not all steps are applicable for every office):

  1. Kick-off call: Your assigned consultant will arrange a kick-off call with you as soon as you become a Practice Director client. During the kick-off call your consultant will help you plan for your Go Live date.
  2. Training: Your consultant will immediately arrange for your enrollment in Practice Director’s online video training center. A training schedule is then established and sand box training is available after installation.
  3. Software installation: Your consultant will arrange an appointment with a Practice Director technician for your pre-installed plug & play server shipment or your remote software installation. If applicable, your diagnostic equipment will be linked to your EMR.
  4. Insurance Claims Clearing Enrollment: An insurance claims clearing house partnership will be established for electronically submitting your insurance claims to payers through Practice Director.
  5. Software Set Up: The administration (for example, customizing your office schedule and fee schedule), inventory, dispensary, and EMR modules of Practice Director are set up.
  6. Data Conversion & Input: We will convert your legacy system demographic data and upload it to Practice Director. You will input your scheduled appointments, insurances information, and guarantors into Practice Director.
  7. Go Live!

Your assigned software consultant will professionally guide you through your transition. On average the total time investment in the transition requires 10-20 total hours of office time plus 4 to 16 hours of training per user.
